2. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect the information you provide, such as your name and email address, and your account credentials.
Content you create. Content you choose to share in community spaces, such as posts, comments, or profile details.
Usage and device information. Limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, such as device type, app version, and diagnostic logs.
Worship activity. Prayer, recitation, and dhikr activity stays on your device by default and is not used to build advertising profiles.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve Rahma's features.
- To secure accounts and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To communicate with you about your account or respond to your requests.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use worship activity to target advertising at you.
4. Children & family experiences
Kids and Family experiences in Rahma are ad-free, comment-free, and reviewed. There is no open messaging and no contact with strangers in these spaces. If you believe a child has provided us personal information inappropriately, contact us and we will remove it.
5. AI features & transparency
Features such as Ask Rahma use AI to support discovery and learning. Anything generated by AI is labelled as such, with sources shown where applicable and its limits stated plainly. AI does not replace qualified scholars, issue fatwas, or act as a religious authority.
6. Sharing of information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate Rahma (such as hosting and analytics providers) under appropriate safeguards, when required by law, or to protect the safety and security of our users and the service. We do not share personal information with data brokers.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the service and for the purposes described in this policy. Certain limited information may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or regulatory purposes, and is then deleted in accordance with this policy.
8. Your rights & choices
You can access, correct, or delete your personal information from within the app, or by contacting us. You can request permanent deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see Delete your Rahma account for instructions.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. Contact us to exercise them.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but protecting your trust is a responsibility we take seriously.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice in the app or on this page before the changes take effect.
